The Navratri Garba celebration at Devasya Vastral on SP Ring Road is one of the most vibrant and authentically Gujarati events in the school calendar. For families from Vastral, Odhav, and East Ahmedabad whose cultural identity is inseparable from the nine nights of Navratri, seeing their children perform Garba in traditional attire, celebrate Maa Shakti with devotion, and participate in this ancient folk tradition is an experience that no textbook can replace.
Students at our Vastral campus practice traditional Garba raas from weeks before the festival. Classical folk dance, regional music, traditional dress, and the energy of collective celebration make Navratri at Devasya Vastral an event that students and parents from across Vastral and Odhav look forward to every year.
The Annual Cultural Day at Devasya Vastral is the school's grandest celebration, the event that brings every student, every parent, and every teacher together in a shared experience of joy, pride, and artistic beauty at our SP Ring Road, Odhav-Vastral, campus. Months of rehearsal, costume design, set creation, and skill development culminate in a performance evening that consistently sets the highest standard for school cultural programs in Vastral and East Ahmedabad.
From pre-primary students performing their first stage dance to higher secondary students delivering dramatic performances, from classical Bharatanatyam to contemporary folk fusion, and from choral singing to theatrical storytelling, the Annual Cultural Day showcases every creative talent our students have developed throughout the year at Devasya Vastral.
The Parents Day celebration at Devasya Vastral on SP Ring Road is unique in the Vastral and Odhav school landscape. Rather than a formal parents meeting, our Parents Day is a warm, joyful celebration where students express genuine gratitude to their parents through performances, handmade gifts, personal letters, and acts of appreciation that move families from Vastral, Odhav, Hathijan, and East Ahmedabad deeply every year.
Students at Devasya Vastral prepare for Parents Day from weeks in advance, creating performances, art pieces, and written tributes specifically dedicated to their mothers, fathers, and guardians. This celebration of family is one of the most emotionally powerful events in the Devasya Vastral calendar, consistently described by parents as one of the most touching experiences of their child's school years at our Odhav-Vastral campus.
The Dadi-Dada Day at Devasya Vastral on SP Ring Road, Odhav-Vastral is perhaps the most unique and deeply Gujarat-rooted event in our entire activities calendar. In Gujarat's culture, the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is one of unconditional love, shared stories, passed-down wisdom, and the precious continuity of family identity. Dadi-Dada Day celebrates exactly that, by specially inviting grandparents onto the Devasya Vastral campus to spend time with their grandchildren, experience their school life, and be honored by a community that values them deeply.
Students prepare special performances, poems, and artistic tributes for their grandparents at our Vastral campus. Grandparents are welcomed with traditional honors, share stories with classes, and experience the environment in which their grandchildren grow and learn every day at SP Ring Road. This intergenerational bonding event is one that families from Vastral, Odhav, Hathijan and East Ahmedabad remember for years after their children have graduated.
Number sense, counting, basic operations, shape recognition, and pattern thinking are taught through games and hands-on pre-primary activities, making math joyful at our Odhav campus.
Sharing, cooperation, conflict resolution, empathy, and self-regulation are explicitly taught through structured pre-primary activities, building emotionally intelligent children in Vastral Odhav.
Fine motor skills, gross motor development, yoga, outdoor play, and coordination activities ensure children at our pre-primary school in Vastral develop physically alongside cognitively.
By Senior KG, every Devasya Vastral pre primary student transitions to Std. 1 fully school-ready with strong attention span, classroom routine familiarity, and the eagerness to learn that makes primary success inevitable.
These community service activities build empathy, civic pride, and the understanding that individual success and community well-being are inseparable. Students who serve their community at Devasya Vastral become adults who serve their society, carrying forward the values of responsibility and generosity into their professional and civic lives.
